I don't know if anyone can help me, but i drive a 1.4 16V octavia, and i have been scouring the internet for exhausts, but the few that i found were for 1.6 and up, does anyone know of any. Also i have heard somewhere that their are lexus style rear lights availiable for the octavia, is this true?

I can't help you with the exhaust, but I have seen references to clear Lexus style clusters on some sort of Skoda owners forum. Was either Scandinavian or Czech, iirc. Don't think you'll be able to get them here in the UK though, and probably if you could, they wouldn't be road legal.

Trevor -- welcome to Briskoda

Can't help with the lights.Exhaust - you could get one made -- theres a company called PCS - in bletchley I think who can custom make a stainless system to your requirements.

ring powerflow... they can help... they have dealers across the country

I've tried everywhere for Lexus style rear clusters but to no avail.

If anyone has found anything for the U.K I'd love to hear about it.

even plain clear ones would o.k. I just find the standard ones look too red!

I don't think anyone does these; I've already had a look myself.;)

You can get the cover which separate the lense elements but I, personally, think that looks naff.

There is a thread containing a pic with an Octy with the new Passat rear lamp cluster but you'd have to do some jiggery-pokery to get them to fit plus, some connector sorting.

Let us know if you do find something.

Cheers.

Adrian.

Yea its a pain in the butt!

At least if enough people are enquiring about these products aftermarket manufacturers will begin to sit up and take notice. And that can only be a good thing

Si....

I'd personally spend the money on something else (I know its a personal taste thing) as the Lexus style clusters do look 'I'm on my way to a cruise meeting' on anything except a Lexus IS 200/300.

Why not invest your money on something else for it as it looks great in black ?

I know what you mean about the lexus style stuff. It has gone a bit "Nova" now.

I just think that the red clusters stand out too much against the lovely paint and look like 2 boils on my VRS's bum.

At least Skoda thought to put smoked side repeaters on though!

Lights however are definately not top of my list (in fact they come shortly after the 150 bhp NOS install) But if I found something that I though complemented the style of the car then I would certainly consider it.

Now where did I put those MAX POWER stickers?

I know it's still a bit "nova", but how about that stuff you put onto the lenses which appears black but still shows the light? Damned if I can remember what it's called...

Rob.

Yea I've used that before on other cars and it works quite well. Doesn't let that much light through though and if anyone is considering that with their octavia remember to mask off the reversing light.

The bloody thing is difficult enough to reverse without doing it blind (unless you're one of those sensible people with parking sensors).......which I'm not.

si

Nah, parking sensors are for wimps... ;)

If you replaced the standard bulbs with led panels, it would be brighter... :D

Not a bad idea. Maybe I'll give it a try this weekend. At least if it looks poo It will just come off again. And the can of tint is only about 20 quid. If it looks good I'll get some photos.

Unless anyone else has already tried this and can advise me against it?
