BKD Air intake / Poor MPG

Featured Replies

Heyup,

Just wondering if there's anything that can be done to help improve the airflow of the intake? Not the air box as such, just the pipework which feeds off the scoop(?) I'm sure there was a flap inside the scoop, but I can't see it now (Might of been my imagination, Or it's come off at some point)

There's not much point replacing the whole air box for an open filter is there?  :x

Just noticed after having a service, the MPG has shot down, but earlier found part of the air pipe to be loose, so refitted it and wait to see if that makes a difference...

loose hose could have been the problem, a free flowing intake wont make much difference to economy, if anything it would make it worse.

Not noticed an issue myself. I think the standard design for airflow between the actual intake and the airbox is good IMO.

What panel filter are you running?
