New camera - a few photos

Featured Replies

I recently decided to take a break from my DSLR and bought a Lumix FZ200. The camera features a Leica branded 24-600mm lens and the difference between this and every other "bridge camera" is that the lens offers f2.8 throughout it's zoom range.

I was initially a little underwhelmed by it, but after a little aclimatisation I'm beginning to feel little more at one with it.

I think I'll eventually go back to a DSLR,but in the meantime this offers both a great deal of flexibility and pretty respectable image quality.

A few recent shots:

This lillustrates the zoom range (both taken from the same spot)

And finally, keeping it vaguely motoring related, a lovely old Riley:

It's too much of your Yeti - we can still see it! ;)

Good choice of camera though - very impressive with it's burst facility and it writes faster than many other cameras so enabling faster re-shoots too.
