Low boost

Featured Replies

Hey all,

After my thread a couple weeks ago saying my vrs went into limp mode its done it again. 1hr into a 3hr trip yesterday it went into limp mode.

We stopped, waited 15mins then carried on. 5 mins later it came back on. We found a garage who would look at it right away (top chaps, much recomended pro-auto in upper heyford near bicester)

It came back with a low boost issue. I guess this can be caused by a huge list of things but which is most common?

When booting it its feeling like there isnt a turbo. 2-2.5k and there isnt a kick anymore.

trying to unplug the maf sensor so i can test it out to see if its an issue with the above problem.

do i need to remove the security torx screws to just unplug the electrical system from the maf sensor?

nope just the connector on the top. May need a screw driver if the little latch is stiff on the connector

which latch?

There is a plastic cover which allows you to see the cables which i removed but couldnt see any other latches :S

got the sensor off and went for a drive.

With it off the kick at about 2.2k comes back. Re-fit it and there is no kick

new maf time then mate!

Got a new maf sensor today but the lack of kick is still there. Im going to unplug it again to see if the problem stays there.

The car went into limp mode again today aswell. Im now going to take it to skoda and see what they say.

Im expecting they will say turbo but got my fingers crossed for a sensor

what's the error code? Try checking vacuum lines and N75 valve first...
