I'm looking to replace my gas guzzling Subaru Legacy Spec B and am considering a 1.8 TSI 4x4 manual estate.

Can those with similar cars tell me what their usual mpg is and in what driving environment.

I have a manual Octavia II 1.8TSI 4X4 Estate. The overall fuel consumption figure is in my signature below. If the 'book' figures are anything to go by, I would expect the Superb to average around 2mpg less than mine.

Not a 4x4 but regular twindoor 1.8 but I get between 31 and 34 MPG dependant on the traffic. My journey to work is 30 miles each way with a 75:25 a road urban split. I do have 18 roundabouts to contend with!

My Superb 1.8 tsi 4x4 does 31 mpg average over several months according to the display. Will do 35 mpg on long motorway trips. About 20 mpg or less if you drive like you just stole it  .  

... and my milage is in the signature, not a 4x4 though as well as DSG7 equipped ... and I would say that it comes out of 1/3 city driving and 2/3 highway and country roads.
