Strange rattle

Featured Replies

Car (Elegance, 140, 4x4) only a few weeks old and has developed a very annoying clonk/ rattle. Drive with technician seems to indicate the issue is the sunroof - apparently a tech bulletin on this. Car booked in today but job not done as they say will now need car for 3 days as whole roof has to come out. Anyone else suffered fro this? If so did the fix work? Bit sad to say the least.

Yep - although my car was diagnosed with this on its first service and was subsequently booked in for remedial work.

Sad to say that the remedial work was carried out and the noise became more frequent. Took a technician out for a drive in the vehicle today and the car has now been booked in for more work - certainly an issue with the front passenger side of the sunroof.

I'll keep you posted as to how this pans out. How is yours?

As per other reply thread - car done by dealer - 90%+ success. Still get occasional clonk/ rattle on certain road surfaces  which goes if sun roof opened but way better than before. My dealer says I'm the 3rd they've fixed so they do know about the issue.

Good luck with your 2nd attempt
