Hi,

 

Have a problem with the Fab VRS.

Well not sure if it's a problem or it's part of the personality...

 

Got in the car after work today, driving out of the car park notice a squeaking over bumps... Thought, oh it's my new shoes... Swapped them for my trainers out the boot, yet still squeaking... After about a mile no more squeaking over the bumps... Any ideas?

 

Also a knocking I believe near the front passenger side, just a gentle knock when going over some bumps. But only happens sometimes, I can hit a pothole.... Nearly over turn the car and nothing, then hit a tiny little bump and the knocking is there... Only really noticeable between 10-40 MPH.

 

Thanks in advance for any idea's/replies. Oh and it's a 07 plate Fabia vRS, 43k Miles on the clock.

1. Laughing at you changing your squeaky shoes

2. My guess is the bushes, they are a common fault. Darkside sell the upgraded ones

Is that to solve the squeak or knocking :p

The knocking could be anything. Drop link, ball joint, top mount, bushes etc. If you have an hour spare, jack the car up and check the obvious things over thats how i found my worn drop links when i bought my car

My money would be on the console bushes. I have had something similar on both of my vRS's both times it was the same issue.

check subframe bolts are tight too

As awkward as it would be. Id check, test drive, check, test drive. So on and so forth.

That way, should the problem reoccur, you know where to look first

And now the door is leaking they say bad things come in threes aye?
