Yeti 2.0d "ticking noise" from high pressure injector pump

Featured Replies

Hi, we own a 2.0d yeti elegance and have only covered 900 miles in it, recently I have become aware of a loud rapid "ticking noise" that occurs every time the engine speed is lifted off idle (and goes as soon as the engine speed returns to idle).

Having checked all the obviouse for loose hoses, fittings etc a Skoda master tech took a quick look at it, and being honest said that the 2.0d version was new to them but didn't think there was anything amiss with it and was probably just cause by the injector pattern setting.

I was wondering if anybody else had experienced this condition with their vehicle?

Regards AJW

New to them! Hang on minute......4 years is new to them.....I would ask to see the service manager

Never noticed any ticking noise from mine.

I would suggest that the "Master" technician needs a few lessons in customer relations; see above.

If you are concerned take it back and insist on the Service Manager dealing with it.
