Clicking / Tapping noise when putting heaters on

Featured Replies

Hi all

If I put my heaters on while the car is idle a noticeable ticking / tapping noise appears!?

Could anyone point me in the right direction as to what this could be??

thats the vents adjusting there selves (clever skoda)

If it's a unusualy loud noise, i could be worn out dented wheel. Sometimes vent flaps get stuck with leaves or branches and the actuator motors force them to break.

How do I search for leaves etc? Is there anything I can do to check?

They do that, mine has done it since new. you only really notice it on idle with the radio off. Sounds like relays clicking.

Mine does it too, but doesn't sound like a relay... More like there is a bird behind the pollen filter but after 3 weeks it would have expired surely.
