Oil cooler upgrade for hybrid vRS

Featured Replies

Hi just looking at oil coolers for my car as its going hybrid in the next few weeks.

I have no idea what im looking at ill be honest lol.

Do I need one? Running 300bhp roughly

Ive seen post on vw sites suggesting 19 row oil cooler?

Does it need a thermostat?

Cheers kriss

I know Jason has one on his 300 bhp TDI so I'm sure he will give you advise.

Be careful not to over cool the oil as this is as bad as over heated oil.

My oil is getting rather hot.

Off the 150 degree gauge on track and 130ish on road when on boost in 27 degree ambient temps.

Anyone have any recommendations for an oil cooler upgrade?

Mocal kit?

My old Audi V8 had a factory oil cooler and oil temp gauge, and the temp was quite low 70-85 deg on normal driving
