Inside Edge Front Tyre Wear! Monte Carlo

Featured Replies

Just noticed excessive inside edge drivers side front tyre wear! 16k now from new.

The near side front is worn pretty even. I'm wondering if I need the tracking adjusting, would the dealers be the best bet for this or a tyre fitting bay?

Thanks

My fronts were changed at 40k miles and the insides were the reason for the change. They had hit the wear bars where the outter edge was aprox 1-2mm above the wear bar. I think its the way its set up :/

Inside edge wear usually means a tracking problem with too much toe out.

As well as too low a pressure or too much straddling of those square lane speed humps

+1 with gadgetman...

Yes Any ... if they have the Laser 4 wheel system.

If not look one up locally.

Ask for a print out see where the problem was & why.

Thanks guys for the replies. I'll hopefully get it sorted and as you say gadgetman, there some annoying square speed bumps I have to drive over regularly which wont help.

Cheers.

my neighbour has a funny turn onto his drive and he always wears out the inside of the tyre due to that, not always tracking ;)

Straddling them will wreck the inner edges.

I drive one wheel over them and alternate
