Dont Believe It!

Featured Replies

Some Muppet at work left his handbrake off and his car has rolled forward and bent my back bumper! My lovely 2 week old black vRS now has a sizeable indent on the bumper. The guy has admitted full liability. Anybody else had similar bumper issues and know how much it will cost for him to fix!?

Cheers

Think you're looking at around the 100 quid mark for a new bumper (more if you've got parking sensors) + trim (~

I was told a new bumper would cost more than factory fitted reversing sensors ;)

(Not that this would help in your case)

Did they not have much faith in your DIY talents then Zooty? :D

Butts do the rear bumper with parking sensor cut outs for

If the guy wants to settle without claiming on the insurance, and depending on the amount of damage, it might be worth trying the specialist mobile plastic repair outfits.

I used a company down south call Smart Solutions who were excellent - there must be similar in the Preston area ?They fettled a neighbour's Forester which had an orange sized dent in the bumper and got some serious scrapes out of the rear bumper on my Impreza in the same morning.

If the paint is not badly damaged, I'd say its definitely worth a go as a lot of the franchised dealers use them rather than bodyshops for used car stock.
