coilover help

Featured Replies

hi guys wondering if anyone can help car has recently been in garage where i was shown my prosport coilovers on the rear are not fitting inside the suspension cups for the coilovers and are not doing the job intended as they could make no adjustment they said it looks like the rear springs are to short has anyone else had any similar problems like this or does anyone no how to fix this issue as the coilovers only been on car since december and been advised by garage going back to standard set up would be better off but getting them to adjust coilovers and look and see if they could do anything with the rears has just set me back 180 quid so if anyone can help it really would be much appreciated

I have 30mm spaces on my rears as i found even at full adjustment it was to low on rear end

My Prosports are fine, however they are at the height that I like. You could try some other springs I suppose...

I had a friend machine me them up from a couple of blocks of round alley, basically 2 40mm x 90mm (i think) round blocks with top machined out for coilover adjuster to fit into and bottom machined out same as bottom of adjuster so it fitted onto rear axle same as the adjuster does, then there was a 10mm hole drilled through middle and i got some longer bolts to bolt them in place

I have JOM plus coilovers which are quiet well known for been abit saggy at back,

I would like to go lower but i would have no subframe left in a week with speed bumps round here

thats exactly how i want mine but at the moment just isnt happening i no i need to replace the bumpstops could this be what is causing the problems

so if i replace the springs and buy some i was going to buy some decent lowering springs what are the best springs to get will they fit on to the coilovers i jave now or i will i have to put standard shocks back on

They are not *really* coilovers on the rear, just springs with adjustable platforms. I can't see why your car would sit any differently to mine if the coilovers are for the same car...

Is yours set up the same as this?
