Careful Lee, I don't think the OP does "banter"

I’m Mitzi, p.a. to Gareth (aka   Mr Meredith), and as you know he’s out of touch now, and has asked me to speak to his friends.  Frankly I don’t understand all this car stuff, as I’m more of the hands-on arty-crafty type and, in any case, I come from Germany (Greifswald to be precise).  We don’t understand your humour: to us it seems rather silly.

 

On a positive note though, I would say that since I married Mr Meredith I have really enjoyed living in Wales and meeting nice people like him.  However he’s asked me to tell you, Mr Graham, that he would now like to meet you in the Angel at 1400 today.  He apologies for this delay, but he says he did have a rather torrid time last night and overslept.  Anyway, Mr Meredith has sent me a text saying: "Pan fydd yn dychwelyd i wlad ei dadau, byddai'n smacio i mi os byddaf yn datgelu gormod", which sounds nice and romantic  .  

Pryhawn Da, Mitzi.

 

That doesn't sound very romantic to me!!

And yes our humour can sometimes be silly, but we are all big kids really, and life is too short.

The dirty rotter  I have half a mind to leave him in Bala and come to live with you.  As a punishment I'm going to let him go to the Angel anyway.  

Tschuss Mitzi! I enjoyed your posts but doubt your credentials. You demonstrate a sense of humour which I cannot see emanating from Greifswald. While I would like to post to you auf Deutsch, the last time I did that there was a general sense of humour failure by Llanigraham and others of his ilk. I will therefore bleib stumm and see how this exchange develops.
