Problem with skoda fabia sport tdi 105bhp standard

Featured Replies

Hi im new to this site and not long had my car had it since march this year has a few mods now my problenm is when in 5th gear going pretty fast with foot hard down it goes into limp mode its a 57plate 1.9tdi sport heard the turbos are rubbish on them an suffer with sticky veins so I bought some turbo cleaner innotec a think its called today going to work did it again im puzzled to what it can be now its boosting 19-20 psi all the time before I cleaned turbo it was boosting like 22 -24 psi no play in turbo either as iv checked

Straight thru exhaust with just a tip welded on custom made

Remapped with launch control (must be over 150bhp now)

Would be grateful for peoples help doesnt go into limp in any other gears or could it be because standard intercooler cant handle it? Thanks

Bump

would love to help with some suggestions but I can't I'm afraid, sorry.

Hope you get it sorted anyway.

Cheers.

Try a code reader?  Limp home is caused by a fault and the code will tell you what it thinks it is (maybe not what it actually is though).

Can you log group 11 in VCDS ( lite version will do) when this happens?

Might be boost climbing above requested activating limp mode

Sorry for late replies last time I had it plugged in it said something like overboosting on vagcom cant remember code also had it linked upto computer live map that said it was very high overbooating so I got some innotec turbo cleaner same problem :/ tho boost gauge I fitted before I cleaned turbo was peaking very high now its not as bad but still doing the same even tho the boost issues seem better its at high revs at high speeds it does it thanks
