There will be some minor updates occurring tomorrow. I'm hoping to get them in place, almost un-noticed, but there is a chance as settings are applied you will see differences.

I hope these can be kept to a minimum, but heres the heads up in case I can't :)

Colin.

Some interface changes are underway. Don't panic if you see advert you are not expecting. I'm waiting for the settings to flush (20mins normally)

Colin, the link for the shop, it's now an external page. I tried logging in with my Briskoda.net email and password but it seems I have to create another account. Anyway the shop could be kept internal as it were and save having to create a specific 'shop' account name and password?

Hi,

In short, no. It's a problem I was trying to avoid. The onsite shop is going, it cannot support what I want to achieve and is 'buggy'.

This version of forum software does not integrate that well, I've tried a few variations. Some things do, but they are a choice akin to the devil and the deep blue sea... I have a version of the site in development which I hope; still testing, will overcome. It will allow you to access the shop and other services via your briskoda login, or a new.

Technically the database security / hashing password algorithms differ, so I can't just copy or update. I'd like, aiming for the forums to know nothing about you, address etc. Leaving that the domain of the application; shop, and wrapping that up as securely as is possible.

It maybe the shop becomes it's own domain, thus aiding with mental separation. I totally understand your comment and it was something I tried to address.

Many thanks for the reply, Colin. Totally understand the security issue. Two minutes to create an account isn't that big a deal in the grand scheme :)
