Eibach Springs

Featured Replies

I know that some here have fitted these and I am a happy customer who has used Eibachs on previous vehicles-so I'm not asking to be persuaded about the merits of lowering generally. I have the 160 TSI 4x4 and Eibach list two pro-kits which only differ as far as the axle load weights are concerned. I'm out of my depth so anyone with a successful fitment who can recommend from experience would be a great help. Anyone who understands the implications of the different axle weights quoted may well be able to assist and educate me.

I don't tow and my "off road" ambitions don't really extend much beyond pub car parks.

That doesn't make sense to me, as I don't think any Yeti has "ride height control".

I'll look out my info tomorrow John, and compare the reference numbers for my Eibach's.

Just checked - I have the E10-79-008-01-22 kit, which is for the higher weight loading.

I made contact here to discuss: http://business-directory.autosport.com/company/375/eibach-uk, but I'm not sure they are still active there?

Looking at one of the resellers, http://www.potn.co.uk/skoda_c10_1473_277136_277137_277171.htm - it does seem the 02 kit is for the smaller 2WD engines?

My kit was fitted by my local man ( http://www.jefffowkes.co.uk/ ) and I paid £300 fitted which included 4 wheel alignment.

HTH?

PM/email me to discuss further?

I agree, and it may refer to something available-like cabin heaters-only in foreign parts. I thought someone like you might know about axle weights.

The weights shown on the driver's door cill plate are:-

2050kg

3850kg

1.1070kg

2. 1030kg

I would be guessing but suspect that they are gross weight, maximum weight laden

and front and rear axle limits. If so then either of the axle weights in the Eibach info would be adequate and the ones allowing heavier weight I would assume are the stiffer springs-the lighter weight ones probably giving a more compliant feel-but I am ever so ready to be corrected!

Robin, I think the diesel is a heavier engine and I wonder if the lighter springs may be the answer for the TSi.

Thanks both!!
