Are there any common problems with the Fuel Filler Flap on a Fabia h/b diesel , as ours last night wouldnt close and lock shut, hopefully will have a look tonight.

It is opened, and held shut, by a cable linked to the handle alongside the driver. The flap end of the cable can come unclipped from the bodywork - it just needs replacing (push and twist).

Access is by bending the boot carpet out of the way.

It is a common problem but its easily sorted, I advised someone to do just as Bryand has not even a week ago. It will take all of 5 mins to put correct.

It was of course the cable at the back had pulled out of the hole a two miniute job to reseat

I was advised to do this yeaterday I believe by Richard - it's booked in for it's first service soon so might not bother though!

It'll only get done if it starts to irritate me!
