I am planning on doing:

10:45 Briskoda

11:45 Briskoda

12:45 Open

14:00 Open

15:00 Open

16:00 Open

Just tried to book but the payment page threw up an error so will call them tomorrow.

Early days, so loads of space on all the open sessions.

Nothing stopping you coming and putting car on stand then blagging a passenger ride.....

Is that an offer? :P ;)

Or taking someone spot on the day when they:

Bottle out.

Kill their car.

Pretend their car is broken to try and get a non-Skoda on track.

;)

Both of these sound like a plan. Is it the same price to book a non-Briskoda slot?

OR

Book up and come up to Oulton Park on 21st Feb instead

Sadly, there is no way the car will be track ready by then. :( Need to fit Coilies, top mounts/bearings, change wish bones and powerflex all the bushes. FMIC and possibly a hybrid. Oh and a set of track shoes and anchors! :S:S

I'm think booking one/few of the afternoon slots and keeping an eye on the "for sale" section is the way forward. :)

Is that an offer? :p ;)

All I say is wear a tight set of pants!!!! yeah if you wanna come out for one of them no worries,  Lloyd has at least one of the Brisky sessions the other is open as well as the open ones too.  I don't hang around   Some have said fearless.

Some former pasengers say brutal with the car. :giggle:

If the car starts, it's track ready for one of the Briskoda sessions. It's not a race, you don't get a prize for finishing 1st, 2nd or 3rd, it's just about the enjoyment. I went on my 1st track session with just 312mm brakes and 17" wheels with road tyres as my only mods, hardly going to blow anyone away with those changes.

The more tuned cars may get more talk on here, but the majority of the cars on the Brisky sessions are usually fairly standard or lightly tuned, as you say.

The idea is FUN in a (as much as it can be) safe enviroment without all the nutters from the open sessions.

10:45 Briskoda

11:45 Briskoda

12:45 Open

14:00 Open

15:00 Open

16:00 Open

All booked.

All booked.

Can I ask a favour please mr Fox?

I'm bringing along my little Bro as part of his 30th Birthday present.  the intention is to let him take one of the Briskoda sessions in my Fabia.

but nothing would make me happier for you to take him out on track (as your passenger) and scare the life out of him in either the Citgo or Brisk Yeti.  If you had a slot in one of your sessions to do this it would make my year. :D

Hey Sparkly,

To be honest I've had quite a few people ask over a period of time and I just keep putting everyone off because after making plans for previous meets and then cancelling I want to make sure the Citigo is there first.

I'll work it all out nearer the time.

Most of the people that have asked will be on track with us for the two Brisky sessions, so I might have a space for one of those.

I owe James I, Daveandlolli and Ilmore a ride as well as other people too possibly.  But these will all be on the open sessions when they are not driving.

If I do of course have a space on one of the Brisky sessions I'd be happy to plod round with your brother.

He needs to be under about 15 stone though as the seats are a bit snug (molded CF buckets) so I don't think "larger people" will fit.

I am 6'2" and 12 stone and they fit me fine.

^^ I best get on a diet

Thanks Mr Fox, we are both me. And my bro about 5'6" and 12 stone so he would fit.

Understand if you are in demand and can't do it, likewise be it Citigo or Yeti that arrives I'm sure you could suitably terrify him.

No plodding :)

what can i say drive it hard. what it was built to do. so do it. don't be a pussy about it. lol

It was built as a moderately quick family estate Dave :D

I'll book myself onto a couple of the open sessions with you Richard I think. Josh - are you going to join us?!

Sound like you drive pretty hard. :) Time to dig out those y fronts!!

Yeah, they're always labeled as "fun" but from my experience (I've only done track days on two wheels so far) as soon as the warm up laps are done and the green flag drops then the red mist descends. Maybe it's a bit different when in a cage as you don't tend to get open sessions on bikes. You have to choose if you want to go into novice, intermediate or advanced. I don't think i would make it home if i didn't at least uprate the Brakes, Tyres and suspension.

The good thing about Castle Combe is that i have relitives in both Bath and Bristol, so should the worst happen i won't have far for the RAC to tow me :P

Have a look at the previous Castle Combe threads or look on YouTube for the videos and you'll see it's quite a quiet time on our sessions.

I'd suggest a good few attending are doing so to sample some track action safe in the knowledge that most Brisky members will respect the spirit of the day.

If you are with the "Briskoda Club" the 4pm onwards slots are £25 instead of £30.

So if you want to save a little you can stay later.

I got a call today and have reduced my 4pm final session by £5.

Might be tempted to do an extra session after 4pm at that price, does it tend to be quiet?

Also, just seen the option to camp trackside the night before - has anyone else done this?  Thinking it could be a right laugh.

Until my car drives passed! :D

I might also consider an extra session but they are £35?  That's not far off the cost of the track alone for 2 sessions at the Brisky group buy price :D

No, they are £30 on the early bird scheme and a further £5 off if you choose 4pm or later.

But you need to be booked with a club to get the £25 rate.

We could have a few of us at 4pm and scare a few of the public drivers. ;)

Is that an offer? :p ;)

Amen. I'm tracking a Roomster with my Mother in Law as a passenger.......
