sadly i dont have a picture but the mk4 golf has the same engine bay, this gives you a rough idea but i guess i can reinstall it to give you a better idea, but if you search mk4 tyhoon there are a few images, it tucks around the back of the battery as u can see here and down inbetween the wing and side of the bettery, the the filter sits just behind the lower bumper grill

Is that a cover on the filter???

  • Author

yes its a cover over the filter so it doesn't draw in water

Sorry for all the questions, but is it loud as I don't want really loud, as the car stands its stage 1 mapped by R-Tech and has standard DV and piper cross filter and although you can hear the turbo spooling up and the DV dumping its not to loud.

Just think I might be better with this sort of intake.

don't worry about asking questions

to be honest it's not loud, But, i had it on my tdi did change the note of the engine though when giving it a good bit of welly, wouldn't know the "loudness" on a petrol unless i fit the filter to my mates octy vrs, woulden't think it would be loud just give it a more throaty sound under heavy acceleration
