New watch.

Featured Replies

I need a new watch - as my new Job prohibits the use of mobile phones (they need to be switched off) so I can't tell the time whilst at work.

I've not worn a wrist watch in years, so I dug out my old watch and discovered the battery was dead.  After popping into a watch store in town and being quoted £9.50 to supply and fit a battery - I though sod that and went looking for something new.

I found the following and thought I'd give it a go (it's only £25 and if it's crap I can always ebay it).

It turns out to be a nice little watch - does bugger all by itself, but when it's connected to my Samsung Galaxy, it's not bad.  It means I can read my text messages, see who's calling me and check email (amongst other things like Twitter, RSS, Facebook, etc) without taking my phone out of my pocket - therefore if the phone is on silent in the office, who's going to know..

It's not the latest and greatest Android powered smart-watch, but for £25 it does what's needed.

Some interesting plug-ins on the Play Store.  Well worth the £25.

Next I might invest in a little more expensive one with more bells and whistles on it.
