Worth fixing this error code ?

Featured Replies

This is the only fault with the car electrically

It suggests their is a problem with the air, mind you the aircon is still ice cold and will go from ice cold to piping hot

I guess there could potentially be a bit of issue with the sensitivity. Is it worth the hassle or use the brum ain't (really) broke don't fix it approach ?

Have you tried running an adaption?

Yep matey.

It just basically revolves around and I get 255 and 255 on the first measuring block (1) - 0 doesnt exist. It doesnt work at (2) after reading at 1 and seems to leave the left most value at 255 on measuring block 1 flashing.

So I guess something is borked but fortunately not enough to screw up my aircon that badly ?

Just wonder how much better would it be "fixed" - is it worth hassle. I do get chilled air and hot so not suffering either which way but you know what its like when you know there is a fault !!!

I had this fault:

01596 - Motor for Outside/Recirculated Air Flap (V154)
30-10 - Open or Short to Plus - Intermittent

So I tried running an adaptation on the flap. I've now got this fault:

01596 - Motor for Outside/Recirculated Air Flap (V154)
            55-00 - Adaptation Not Successful

....as well as the first fault. I guess it is a fault with the recirc flap motor, but it still seems to work ok, so I've given up trying to fix it!

IIRC it's a bit of a pig to get at the flap to change it, so maybe leave it unless something actually work.

I had a suspicion that it might be tricky to get to. Hence why I'm leaving it.

These recirc faults are becoming more common though....someone posted about it the other day. But if it ain't actually broke, don't fix it!

Mine had this, after a while the recirc valve shat itself, button doesnt respond to being pushed, light comes on and off as and when it feels like it. I've not bothered fixing it, the part isn't cheap and a bitch to replace I think.

If it breaks completely, as long as it sticks in the 'fresh' position I wouldn't worry about fixing it either.

Cheers guys, I'll consider this as a "non fault" fault then - leave well alone unless broken
