vrs prices?

Featured Replies

I might have to sell my Fab vrs 53 plate but don't really know how much i've seen prices with more mileage on than mine upto £3000 mine as 84k on the clock with part service history,it does have a couple of marks on it as you would expect for a car of this age but it shows its a honest car,i don't want go down the ebay auction route..any ideas what the prices are doing for these fantastic cars?

cheers Stu

Depending on condition I'd say around £3,000.

You can always ask a bit more, see if there are any bites.

If you pay £12 to be a FREEDOM member and support this site you can advertise it for free. :)

I paid £2600 for mine a 54 plate few dents here n there nothing major 116k with a full service history from skoda and a lot of receipts for work carried out :)

I'd say £3000 is a fair price for yours. reds a good colour.
I'm having trouble selling mine though for £2500! I've been offered obserd prices such as £1000 and £1800 with chancing ******s saying its not worth any more. mine is yellow with 135k but still.

Dont forget to mention the important bits such as cam belt and water pump if they have been done.

From my experiance:

Ebay = full of chancing bargain hunters wanting something for nothing

piston heads = chavs and test pilots

gumtree = old people

these may not apply to you but I've had the most interest from selling through word of mouth and signs on the car. I'm about to put it on auto trader, I've been a bit reluctent since its so expensive.

A 2007 SE with 135k miles on the clock sold on Ebay today for £3,700.

Useful point of comparison - sadly our cars aren't worth anywhere near what you might perceive they are - depends whether private or forecourt where they can charge practically what they want provided someone will come and pay -

doesn't apply to private sales where there is no guarantee whatsoever for a start.

I wouldn't sell my car but its an 56 plate with 107k now (constantly going up) and I'd feel lucky to get anywhere close to £4k at that rate.

Maybe I'd get £3.5K ? Makes me wonder whether people are comparing with cars adv. on ebay at certain prices or "sold" prices.

Have a look on completed listings with people actually bidding on, for a better reference point

From what I've seen (being honest) I think it would be a figure begining with a 2.....wisebuyers says £2.4k MAX for a good car, full history no faults etc....possibly less

On deciding all that you can then advertise on here with Freedom - no more to add than that TBH - it answers your question anyway whether the answer was what you wanted or not.

Fabias held their money for a long time, the market now seems to be stabilising at a more reasonable level!

Agreed.

A year ago dealers were still charging 7k for a 2007 car, which is over half it's value after 5 years. Maybe a grand more if it was an SE.

Now the prices are shifting to where they should be, but some dealers are hanging on, as are some private sellers looking at the forecourt prices.

Fact is, we are talking about a small diesel hatchback that's ten years old. At £3k it's still worth around 25-30% of it's new value which is good after a decade!

Have had mine for a few weeks now. Paid £2800 for a 54 plate, fsh, 103k, completely stock with sunroof and heated seats.

It all depends how fussy you are with the condition and history. You get what you pay for IMO.

Red Fabia VRS 05 £3,795 Shirebrook

Red Fabia VRS 07 52,000 miles £6,990 Shirebrook

2011 Fabia 1.4 DSG VRS Green fully stickered S2000 "12,990

The prices are all over the place so I guess you take your chance

A VRS SE went on eBay earlier for something like £3700
