KW V1 inox most comfy coilovers for the fabia?

Featured Replies

Have seen a set for a decent price but never had coilies and don't want to sacrifice ride quality too much. Won't be going really low neither will I be participating in track days ect. Just want the looks and a reasonably nice ride comfort. From what I have read, these seem to be more suited for me?

I appreciate there is probably more expensive kits out there that is more comfortable but don't want to spend that much!

P.s

I'm referring reasonably comfortable as in 'not crashy and bouncy'

Thanks

Got these on my VRS I've just bought, and they are just what you want by the sound of it!

Nice sporty feel on the road but no dash rattles, not hard hitting cats-eyes etc

I was worried when going to view the car as it is a daily driver for me so did not want the harshness a lot of coilovers give on the road,5 mins down the road on the test drive and I had decided they were just right!

They're a brilliant piece of kit, no denying that. Just occasionally I find them a little stiff but not bouncy or crashy.. Just harder. Plus, the only way to improve the handling is to stiffen up the suspension - which by the way, the car handles loads better than standard. Put on some good rubber and a rarb and it'll be decent enough ;).

I'd say in terms of comfort the Eibach Pro Street S just edge it over the KW V1, both ultimate kits for everyday fast road use though.

Worth while considering the Weitec by KW Hicon GT kit as well.

Thanks for your input guys, much appreciated.

I have heard there isn't much of a difference between the Weitec's and AP's? If this is true then the Ap is a real good value because they are quite a lot cheaper than the Weitecs?

The Weitec has a better build quality and uses better interals, the Weitec kit is closer to the KW V1 then to the AP kit.

I had kw v1's on my fabia and they were pretty awesome!

All depends how low you run them

Be sensible and the ride is good and the handling is awesome!

I recently sold my leon fr pd150 and had kw's on it! To trade it in i raised the coils to standard height and sprayed them matt black!

The car looked stock but omg it handled and rode amazingly! Far superior to when i had them low
