iOS 7

Dont forget the screaming success of Apples attempt to compete with google maps, if i rememeber from the reports the only screaming was from people that used it & found that thier destination wasnt exactly where hey expected it to be.

One of my sons firends put ios7 on his phone - stopped him from sending texts.

I am not against apple products I use a mac as i believe a windows pc would have ground to a halt by now if i had bought it instead of the mac.

I just think that the ifone is overpriced old tech, & unless they update the guts either ios8 or 9 will grind the thing to a halt, while droid will evolve as tech improves.

Business wise apple need to rethink thier strategy, while they sell less units than other makes, they make a greater profit on each unit & good luck to them if they can fool people into buying overpriced 2 yr old tech, just look at  the 5c with a plastic body & cheaper has the same internals as the 5s. But they can only do this for so long before sales drop off so dramatically that they become another Blackberry(RIM).

i really have great difficulty fathoming out the people who queue up for a 'new' iphone that looks & will work no different from the one they have, they will still use the same functions despite there being new ones that will only get used once or twice as a novelty, then go back to the core ones they were using with thier original phone

The design has barely changed since the original ifone - at least Porche have eveolved.

  • I've gone for it and updated to ios7 on my iPhone 5. Was sceptical as I liked the old design, but I have to admit it is better on the whole. I'm liking the dynamic and parallax wallpapers, I didn't kn

  • Firstly comparing a iphone4 to a samsung4 is comparing 2 year old tech to modern day, so not really fair is it? That's like saying the original galaxy is crap compared to the iphone5. Also the sales

Too many android posts, not enough actual ios7 chat. Please take 'my phones better than yours' chat to a different thread :)

Managed to download in 2 mins last night just after 6! Quite pleased, running it on my iPhone 5 and no problems so far! Improvements all round, I can't find spotlight search now though!

it actually works with Mercedes bluetooth,

Strange it worked fine on the Audi, BMW and Merc i test drove earlier this year flawlessly

you have to use that bloody i-tunes

and do you know what the benefit of using itunes is? what purpose it serves rather than just dumping a load of mp3 files on raw storage at the media player its connected to? im sure an "expert" on all things such as yourself can tell us

Apple exists to make as much money from the users as possible.

and of course Samsung, Microsoft, HTC and every other company are creating technology for purely charitable reasons aren't they, with no intentions of making money

Quite frankly the ill informed dross you've posted is barely worth my time responding to, you go play with the other kids sunshine and the rest of us who don't have the mentality of a 14 year old fanboi will get along fine.

Ha ha ha, people with Crapples.... you will all soon move over to Samsung, mark my words! :)

Move to a cheap plastic phone......................no thanks.

Mwahahahahahahahahahahaha   oh dear ahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha this is one of the most funiest things i've heard in a long long time..... so good auric.....thats really really funny.....

Any mac needs to be sent back into the ether of the unknown.....which mac are heading that way as we speak.......

Over and out.... WP8 all the way....

Is that why iOS is the most advanced operating system you can get??

WP8 is a flawed concept that's cobbled together to make it run on a smartphone....................and not very well by all accounts :D

Just upgraded to iOS7

Really like it on my iPad mini...much better...but takes some getting used to if you've had iOS6 for along time

Works fine on my Ipad2. Been having problems with the touchscreen on my 4s for a couple of months now. Installed IOS7, but can't finish the process because I can't put my Apple password in due to the screen not working properly. Going to upgrade to 5s tomorrow, even though O2 have no phones in store, it will have to be ordered.

Awww i like iPhone fan boys.....just makes me feel proud to use a "proper" operating system.....;).....Don't worry...apple will move from sandbox edition to something more sophisticated like....i dunno....putting shapes into the correct slots.....or even colouring in, in-between the lines....  :drunk:

Sent from a real phone...:P

Yes because Google exists to give everyone cuddles and puppies.

Apple is a business and every business exists to make as much money as possible. Otherwise it's called a charity....

I thought apple did that.....my mistake!  :giggle:

What you do is drag down from any part of the homescreens except the top. So basically hold your finger on middle of the screen and drag down and you will see search at the top.

I'm liking the new interface, about time they changed it up a bit, I was sick of the old look. Mine is running fine on a 4S and iPad 2 non retina. There are some cool new features too, do a search on youtube for how to hide your unused apps so they no longer show on the screen, you can still search for them though.

Also I went to Android with a Galaxy S and it was the worst phone experience I ever had, 2 handsets and both faulty with zero support from Samsung. It will be apple all the way for me now. The droid phones sure do look nice though... If you like to hold a postcard sized device up to your head to talk on. :P

I love the new iOS. So many small touches to make it even easier to use. Not too keen on the change of icons, but i can live with it.

I have iOS 7 on my iphone 5 and my iPad mini and it works fine on both.

And to the guy slating apple, why are you even on this thread? Did you just come on to push your opinions on people? If you hate apple so much then surely you should have avoided any thread with the title apple related?

And just to add my iPhone pairs perfectly with my mates Insignia Elite. It also paired perfectly with my sisters Focus RS and my mums 207 GT.

At the end of the day no one operating system is the best. If there was one we would all be using it and not have 3 different choices.

Competition is good, it drives the companies to make better and better products for its customers.

iOS is good and so is Android. If you're happy with your phone and operating system then that's great, you made the right choice.

People are allowed there own opinion....apple release yet another attempt to claw back its customers who has migrated off to Android....I like WP8.....others like Android and others like apple......either way.....i am allowed, like everyone else to have "there own" opinion..... If you don't like it then don't read threads....

I don't like it much but i suppose i will get used to it.

Firstly I'm not a 'fanboy, secondly iOS is simply MUCH more advanced than Android so get used to it.

I have a real iPhone, at lease it's not made of plastic like the S4, and RIDDLED with viruses, malware and bloatware.

Sent using superior equipment

Riddled with viruses? Seriously? On what planet?

Android works perfectly with Ford audio as we use S3's without any issues.

The new interface has been reported by several technology mags/sites as moving much closer to androids and adding a number of features android and wm have had for a years.

Never liked previous iOS versions, but having tried iOS 7,if I were to move to apple it'd be a fairly easy move because it's now so similar.

As above the reason has been to stem the flow of customers bored with iOS and better spec of other devices on android AND WM.

Can this thread be locked please.

It's just a waste of time now, like every other mobile phone thread on here.

Anyone who has this on thier phone I have a question

Does fingerprint lock work ?

Does anoyone know how apple will fix it when you leave the phone to be fixed with the screen locked - How do they access your phone ?

Fingerprint lock and unlock is for the new iPhone 5S model only, it uses a sensor below the home button. Older models its good old swipe to unlock and the button on top to lock.

I have had iOS7 for a while on my 32GB iPhone5, did not like it at first but it grows on you. No issues with anything, calls, texts etc. all working perfectly.
