Stop/start and radio problems

Featured Replies

I have a loan Superb Elegance DSG (new facelift model Mk3) to try for the weekend. I have been driving it today and one thing is really bugging me.

When the stop/start restarts the engine in traffic, it turns the radio off for a couple of seconds. I find this so annoying especially when in slow moving stop/start traffic and I am trying to listen to something.

I've driven several stop/start cars before (not Skoda) and not come across this problem.

Are they all like this or is there a fault on my car?

I've got s 62 plate Greenline Se snd that doesn't happen on mine. Engine just crumbles back into life.

Sounds like something is wrong

Hasn't happened with any of the 3 stop start Skodas we've had.

Could be a DAB interference issue if signal quality is low. Does it happen on all DAB stations, and does CD or MP3 audio suffer the same issue?

Happens on DAB or FM. Haven't tried other options. I contacted Skoda and they said it shouldn't happen. They will investigate when they get the car back in Monday.
