Ford Escort......

Featured Replies

...RS 2000 Maxi, this car is the sister car to the one used by Gwyndaf Evans all those years ago. Here is Gwyndaf in action in some dodgy TV footage but you get the idea.

It is a NA 2.0 Litre producing approx 280 bhp, so no slouch as it is based on a space frame and is nothing like an Escort.

This is currently being touched up for next season, front bumper is away for repair, the radiator by the front wheel is for the water cooled brakes!

Nice.

I used to go camping in the village where Gwyndaf drove the school bus.

Dolgellau, he has a Ford dealership there and a nice assortment of Rally cars in the show room

Always like sporty escorts.

Saw a lovely mint looking mk4 the other day. Interesting how car design has changed such as the seat backs and windows were much lower then.

Some of my earliest memories of motorsport were seeing these Mk2s flying around short ovals all over the country.

Enjoyed that you tube clip, doubt my 'lil orion could do that :D
