Wind deflectors were popular in warmer countries before air conditioning (and faster cruising speeds) conditioned us to drive with windows firmly closed, but do people still use them here in the UK?

The stylish thing is definitely debatable - but if the dark plastic matches the privacy glass in the rear windows, they are growing on me.

They are very slim by sight with a dark tint to the plastic. Look good when fitted.

Another thing to go on the 'to buy' list once my Citigo Elegance arrives. And here's me trying to kid myself that I won't be modifying it!!

These are supposed to be sold by www.rearguards.co.uk but can't find them on their website. 

 

How do the wind deflectors attach? Do they just push into the window rubbers?

They have double sided tape in the edges which then slide up into the window channel. They are supplied with clips which you don't need as the fitment is very tight anyway. Once slid into place you leave the windows closed for 24 hrs for the tape to stick and that's it

Hi just fitted my heko wind deflectors they look great and they were easy to fit. I got them from a dealer called carandvanbitz on eBay for £31 delivered and they were to fit a VW up. They arrived very well packed and I ordered them on Thursday and got them today.

Mick50 did you use the metal clips?

No I didn't use the clips they are fine without on my car

I'm really pleased with them and no more wet patches lol

Yes, as a driving instructor its handy to be able to keep the windows open a bit when driving slowly or explaining what to do.
