Question

Featured Replies

My coolant level in my Cigito Elegance 60ps has just dropped below minimum.  It's a Sunday so my local Skoda Dealership's servicing department isn't open.

So, is it best to use a little water to get it above minimum or some of my Dad's Honda Coolant?

Any good advice would be appreciated.

Only use the correct spec coolant additive.

A drop a water is better than the wrong coolant being used.

Thank you.

Do you know what the correct spec cooland additive is for the Citigo please?

I think its G13 but not 100% sure, its on the coolant cap

Well, got some "g13" from the dealer and have topped up now to midway between "min" and "max" - would be very interested to know what caused the coolant to drop to below minimum in the first place?

Could of been a big air lock(hopefully)

Hope all goes well now :)

I'd keep an eye on it and if it drops again I'd look to get it into the dealer to take a look. There's been talks of water pump problems in this area, perhaps its leaking from there?

A cup or two of Water will not cause a big problem. However, if the drop continues I would then contact the dealer for an investigation into the cause?

I've topped up with G13 and will keep an eye on the levels after i've used the car, see what it does.

Mine has also dropped over the last 5500 miles, probably the hot summer and trips to London stuck in traffic didn't help.

Like above just keep an eye on it.

That's interesting - what model of Citigo have you got?
