cr remap questions

Featured Replies

Just got a vrs estate, I will be mapping it in the not so distant future, I have heard that you don't have to go down the custom map route with just a straight remap on a standard engine, and a generic one will do the job. This true? I had a custom map done on my furby but it did have the bigger Cupra air pipe. Shall I just go for a cheaper generic map? Not planning on anything other that a map performance wise. Also does anyone usually have wintertime offers on? Just thought it would be cheaper when the snow is about because not many people are thinking about making there cars faster. I myself was going to wait till after winter but if it's going to be cheaper if might be tempted.

Mike, speak to shark performance they seem to be the guys to speak to at the moment. Should also tell you if their is a local agent aswell.

Was thinking about awesome with them being closer. Went all the way to Peterborough with my fabia to Jabba sport but think I'll go closer to home this time. Is there much difference in the different companies?

That looks interesting silver. Would it do the same job? City sceptical when the doesn't actually see a work shop. Bit like a tuning box, there good but can be better

Sorry that last post didn't make sense, was having the other half talking to me at the same time lol. I ment will that home remap box thingy be as good as actually taking it to a proper garage? Also is there a difference between the tuners or are they much the same and it's just which ever is closer? I did go to jabba with my furby but want to stay local this time, probably awesome.

Go to above shark.

Had mine remapped locally and have a slight hesitation which feels like the turbo cutting out. Hopefully going to have it sorted this week. On a plus side it totally transformed the drive ability of the car. Not to mention better mpg.

It will the same map, the difference being you install the map at your convenience, (depending inn the age of the car you may have an encrypted ECU which would need to be removed for the map to be installed.

Send Ben (@ Shark Performance) an email with all the details of the car and he will tell you if the STS unit will work on your car.

£499 + £150 for the STS !

That is just expensive, £450 at most inc the STS is where the cost should be !

Thanks for your feedback, the STS is not compatible with the CR170 in any case.

We're not the cheapest tuning company in the world, there is good reason for that and there are posts on this forum and elsewhere to backing that up.
