aftermarket ARB's

As long as it's for a 2wd I don't see why not.

Yup they use same rear beam

Yes as long as it's a FWD Golf 4 then it'll fit.

Damian @ DPM Performance

That looks like a front one.

thanks again dave, will this fit the vrs?

It looks the same as mine, 25mm eibach but if you do get it ask if they got the mounting clips too, i'm sure someone will know if it does fit, the beetle is mk4 platform too...

i am asking about now, fingers crossed

thanks in advance

That is VW Golf Front Anti roll bar and won't fit our VRS cars due to different drop link hook up points

That will fit our cars and is same as all 2WD VAG VW Golf platform cars which ours is.

P.S yep ask if it has the mounts as if not they are hard to get hold off seperatey and expensive

Bowders much appreciated, i am on the case now, desperate to get hold of 1 of these, got a R32 front sorted.

i love it when a plan comes together... hopefully

Its a great mod, wish the car came with one as standard! i couldn't believe how theres such less roll and the turn in is great too, and i only have done the rear of the car.

R32 FARB is only needed if you are going large RARB like at least 25mm else you will stiffen front end up too much to match the rear. But see how it goes.. Fitting poly bushes is also a great mod for tightening up chassis

It actually does come with a rear brace (internal in the rear beam) but does not perform that well. You will find that external  bracing the Rear is the best mod on these cars to correct the inherent under steer and make car feel more planted especially around the twisties...

You are welcome buddy

Lloydy will just make you spend money dude........

You may find the just fitting a RARB and poly bushes is all you need as believe me is a great improvement. Drive the car around and learn how it feels is my advice after fitting those parts.

Then if you are like me i gone from one mod to another over the 7 years

complete poly bushes all round

Upper lower strut braces

Rear boot strut brace

28mm RARB

23mm FARB

LCR / R32 cast wishbones, Hubs

Castor increase Bushes in Wishbones

KW race coil overs

Subframe solid bushes and bolted rear of front subframe with TT roadster braces

The list goes on and on (dam Briskoda ......)

To say the car feel stiffer is a understatement lol

cheers buddy, i will let you know how i get on.

It has one! i never knew that, its pritty useless then ha. I'm going to fit a upper brace too from an TT, dirt cheap on ebay now.

Dave I got a TT strut brace for £20 including postage, bargain.

I have enquired about the eibach rear arb, it doesn't have bolts or clamps, does anybody know where I can get hold of some?

any help would be massively appreciated.

Ah that's a bummer, try eibach them selfs? you only need the 2 clamps to hold it onto the beam, they do look like miklor? clamps but in a funny shape.

  • Author

I did send an email to eibach earlier, waiting on a reply.

I am hoping I can sort something, I have spoke to the seller and they are offering it cheaper than advertised, which is good, providing I can get clamps sorted.
