So driving down the m25 tonight, following a mate, pulled into the outside lane, changed up a gear and then a sudden loss of power, looked behind me to find massive clouds of smoke, rear window covered in oil, pulled over to find this on my rear of car.

If you can't tell the whole rear of my car is dripping in oil, you can see it dripping off the plate.

Turbo looks to of gone I guess :/.

Need some help if possible.

Unlucky mate, hopefully the turbo remnants haven't gone I to the engine. The intercooler may have picked up quite a lot of debris too, so will need a thorough clean. I guess its a good time to go for an upgraded turbo as you were looking for more power

Yeah gunna strip it all down today remove the intercooler and all that. Need a new one now I think anyway, and yeah time for more power just hasn't really come at the best of times!

Same as mine mate but mine is yellow so looked very bad lol. I wasn't planning on going hybrid till it happened but you was looking in to it anyway so not a huge pain in the arse but just come sooner than you thought :(

You anywhere near Shrewsbury/Shropshire mate. Dirty torque hooked me up and at a very good price. They do 130 and 150 hybrids and also do a big turbo kit if you want to go over 240bhp

Ouch. This happened to me in my old Fabia, so I chose to upgrade too. I went with the Allard VT2 Hybrid PD150, Forge FMIC, Blueflame Catback and Custom Map all at Shark Performance (already had Sachs Clutch, 312mm brakes, Magnex Decat, PD160 etc). The car went in broken having been running 162bhp on what transpired to be a shoddy map from the previous owner and came out with 208bhp/330lbs.

 

It is never a good time to fork out loads of cash, but I'd recommend a similar upgrade; not driving the car for a few weeks then having it back with all the extra power and torque was tremendous.

Its funny how blowing a turbo can often be a trigger for more power.

 

When I blew my Allard VT5 at the Ring, it came back to me with a GTB2260vk turbo attached.  Funny that!    Hope all sorted soon.

Really makes you wonder how it manages to cover the whole back end of the car.. You would of thought the Exhaust would of sent it the complete otherway

Aerodynamics, thats why the back end gets black from dust and fumes. When theres wet on the road and its not raining take a quick look in the rear view and its like i little wirlwind on your rear end of mist being flicked up from your tyres and caught in this little pocket of air the car creates.

It's about 4/5 hours from where I am, sure there's somewhere a little nearer me I could try. And how much did that cost you?
