Bye-Bye Roomster. Hello yeti

Featured Replies

This weekend I shall be parting with my very trusty old Roomster.
2006 registration, which I bought new.

1.9 Tdi,.  Still always does 55+ mpg on a trip.
I have never kept a car this long. :)
That's because it has been superbly practical, versatile and 100% reliable. All I have done over the years is put diesel in the tank,  change the tyres, and have it serviced regularly.

Yeti L&K on the way to replace it.

I love my Roomster for the same reasons.

When the time eventually comes to replace mine, I too could be tempted to buy a Yeti.

I would just need to be sure that with spare wheel and false floor in place, there would be enough cargo space for my needs.

Enjoy your Yeti  :)   Which engine did you choose?

The new Yeti is an L&K 2.0 TDI 170PS

That should be meaty enough :)

(And also with lots of toys to play with)

I opted for the "no spare wheel" to give more space, but the other downside of that is the lack of flat loading over the rear bumper.

Good luck with the Yeti, I wish you many happy years of puncture free motoring!

I have only had my Roomster a week, early signs are good and I hope to keep her as long as you did yours.

 Nice!

I'm sure you could retro-fit the false floor if you wanted it.

Enjoy the yeti, superb car, enjoyed mine while I had it, funnily enough I then went back the other way and now have a Roomster! Both excellent at what they do!

See you on the other side next week, then !  :hi:

I also had a Yeti and went to a Roomster for family reasons. Loved the Yeti, but have since grown to love the Roomster, very practical car, been totally reliable, I think a very underrated car, possibly due to it's slightly unusual looks. Will be keeping it for the foreseeable future.
