Hi Guys I been scouring the manual and can't find anything to tell me when the cambelt should be changed .

Our Fabia Tdi Sport 1.9 is 4 years old in January 2014 but has only covered 20k do I need to change it ?

When I had mine it was 40K or 4 years whichever came first.

 

There is quite a bit on old threads on here.

Some say they go much longer but I was never bold enough to risk it.

I think the standard Skoda line is 4 years for most engines. This is irrespective of how low the mileage is. Tyres also degrade over time.

time to change. Make sure you get the water pump changed at the same time.
