Honest John reports imprecise steering.

Indian websites have multiple reports of water penetration into front foot wells due to poor fitting of drain hole grommet.

Other reports of high fuel consumption on petrol models (Compared to current generation vehicles) and rust manifesting in engine compartment on showroom models, due to incomplete finishing and painting processes.

I have been reading the various forums, UK and other countries and India.

What seems to be clear is how quickly the Dacia Dealers appear to be addressing any problems that are arrising.

Much better than VAG and their Emu act for years.

VW/VAG are still after decades failing to keep water & oil  in engines and water out of cars interiors.

That's OK, Skoda have had water ingress issues on the Mk I Superb.

There have also been plenty of fuel consumption concerns on the 1.2TSi and 1.6TDi fitted to the Fabia.

Imperfect paint finish on the Yeti is also a well documented concern.

I'd question the desire for precise steering from a typical Dacia customer too.

Good luck Dacia, that's what I say!

Aye a grommet modification and closer quality control on coating should be easily sorted. The petrol 1.6 in it is the absolute budget engine as it is a budget entry vehicle. I wouldn't expect anything much from any 1.6 NA petrol tbh especially one in that set up of vehicle lol. Dacia is the fastest growing car manufacturer in Europe at moment and like Skoda came a long way to drag itself up. I have high hopes for them doing the same and they have hit the ground running with entire new model range. In 10 years they could be outselling Skoda in the UK market if they play their cards right. Iffolk don't want to fork out the ever VW levelling prices of todays Skoda, they could be refined enough by then. Of course they could fail but they are doing well in the rest of Europe at moment and UK could easily be dropped if we prove to be too snobby for it.
