Hi all. Im looking to buy a set of winter alloys for my yeti. These wheels have came up for sale locally but the seller doesnt know the offset for them. To save me a wasted journey i was just wondering if anyone knew the specs of them. Ive been told they are off a 2005 Octy. They are 16 inch fitted with 205 55 16 michelin snow tyres, standard skoda winter tyre sizes.

That have Octavia at the of my last post. Also the offset should be stamped into the back of the wheel.

Thanks for that. I told the seller the offset would be stamped ET on the back of the alloys but they maintain they can't find an ET number.

Just wondering if anyone knew the exact offset as I'm looking an ET close to the standard yeti 45. I don't want to make the trip to look at the wheels if the difference in offsets is ridiculous.

I doubt they will be significantly different.

I was hoping to fit the larger 215 60 16 winter tyres to these as they look better and also give a better speedo reading. Just not sure how the clearances would measure up. I'm getting conflicting results with the online offset calculators

After three years my 205/55 R16s are done. I'm going for 205/60 R16 this time. Almost identical in size to the 17s you normally run.

 

Yes I know they're not an 'approved' Scout/Yeti size, but they match the circumference best, maintain the same ground clearance and........

 

......the good lady's Grand Scenic runs on 205/60 as the standard size and guess what, the wheels haven't fallen off, the world hasn't exploded, etc, etc!

Thanks Niall. 205 60 16 So the world isn't flat after all lol. It's just slightly harder finding winter tyres that size though.
