Will 18" fit a vRS with lowered suspension?

Featured Replies

I have seen some nice 18" wheels, but am not sure they'll fit - especially as I am about to fit Eibach lowered springs.

Will 18"s fit (and how wide should they be: 7.5", or is 8" OK?), and does anyone know what size tyres I'll need to keep a similar rolling radius to standard and prevent fouling the wheel arches etc.?

Ta very much

i have seen furbys on 18's but the ride will be shockin and the performance will be affected. dont bother mate. spend ya money on tunning. its only my oppinion but its the stelth factor that apeals to me rather than the looks. not many people realise how powerfull the furby vrs is. keep it lookin standard, just fettle the engine and keep it clean and you cant go wrong.

You will suffer with 18" on the Fabia. 17" are the biggest I would go.

I agree with mikejay, I like the stealthy look. I was considering 17" Audi S3 alloys, but decided it against it (got bigger brakes instead!).

A member on her TonyVRS I think had 18's on his yellow RS. To me they didn't seem right. Looked too big. In the end he got shut of them and went back to 16's I think because of performance.

I agree with Jon. 17 is the max and looks really good. Me I'll stick with the 16's and spend the money else where.

How funny! I am looking at Fabia's, but have this set of Rims on my Golf which i was hoping i could fit on the Fabia.........

I literally just went to post up and saw this at the top lol - thanks for answering my question too!

Nice wheels though!

Suit bigger cars IMHO.

I have put the Octi 17" standards on my vRS and they make for an ever so slightly harder ride, speed bumps aren't as much fun, but still fine, and it may be a placeabo effect but I am sure it rolls slightly less in the corners to... its all moving in the right direction, ebach springs next... :D
