SOLD** Yeti 17" Spitzbergs with ContiWinter TS830P tyres**SOLD

Featured Replies

Having changed my Yeti for a Superb the time has come to move on the Yeti's winter wheels and tyres!!

These have done very little mileage and are in fantastic as new condition comprising OEM Spitzberg alloys (7J x 17 ET45) and nearly new ContiWinter Contact TS 830 P 225/50 R17.

The Alloys are unmarked as can be seen from the pictures, the tyres have an fairly even 8mm all over and have covered probably only 3000 miles if that and have always been dry stored on a rack (not included) and covered when off the car.

Now Sold

I am 2 miles from junction 24 of the M5 and would prefer buyer collect but would be prepared to meet up within about 30 mile radius.

Groovy tyres!

Just think a set of steel wheels with quality winter tyres will set you back £700 that's without hub caps etc.  For not too much more you can keep your car looking smart all year round.

As I said I am open to sensible offers but if there is not too much interest I will try them on Fleabay before the winter sets in.

Many prefer steels though for winter due to all the corrosive salt on the roads - GLWTS though - I sold brand new Skoda steels and decent winter tyres (with just under 2,000 miles use) for just over £200 to a Briskoda member recently as a comparison. :)

These would fit an Octavia Scout which can accomodate even larger tyres, so I would check the forum to see whether they will fit your Superb (there's always some tolerance).  They may not be the recommended size, but I would be surprised if they didn't fit - unless you're looking to fit snow chains.  At least you know their condition and history.

I don't know when your Superb is arriving, but if it's not until next year I'd be happy to "hire" them for our TT which is about to have its last winter with us.  I normally have full alloy winter sets for every car, but as I've just sold my Scout (which normally donates its wheels to the TT for winter) I'm faced with fitting something else suboptimal from my "winter library".

I have a set of 225/45 17 if you need to borrow some collateral and so you know I'll look after yours.

M5 J7 if you're interested.

Superb outdoor does not have raised suspension like the Scout so the 225/50's against the recommended 225/45's look a bit tight although as standard the Outdoor gets 225/40 18 !!  Would prefer to go to Vredestein Quatrac3's for all year use or 205/55 16's for winter but will keep your offer in mind.

Ok I will throw a curve ball at you....

If you fancy splitting them I may be interested in just the wheels in p/x for my (mint) Audi Abitos 16" alloys (made by BBS) c/w Bridgestone Blizzak's (205/55/16") which have covered about 5,000 miles IIRC, tread is almost new (can confirm if you are interested).

I ran them on my Superb and they are a perfect fit.
