I used grey gables near Witney..

I had to give chassis number..and she asked who said it was a recall...

I said friends and offered to quote " ignition coilpack campaign no28 f7"

With that she checked and said yes i was due to have them changed..FOC.

:-)

If they have been changed already(by previous owner)they may not replaced them, when mine, went in they replaced 3 because id replaced one myself a couple of years before, but good luck you never know :)

I put post up on this yest mines booked in tomorrow for same

Had the S3's coils changed under the coil pack campaign. Got 06A905115D now

Didn't need them replaced. Just know how VAG likes to change their mind a lot

Just had 2 coilpacks replaced,as the other two were the newer type...

Bloke couldn't believe that vag were still carrying out the replacement...??

Got a few comments on how nice the car was..

:-)

Is this foc replacement on any mk1 vrs mines an 04 plate. ?

Yeah, for any age. (it is in Ireland anyway)

Ha, Swedey. I can't imagine what they were thinking when they were replacing them on your car.

It's probably so different to standard, I'm surprised they still knew where to put them. :giggle:

Had mines done the other day, they were able to tell me it was valid just by the reg number.

One had been replaced aftermarket but I just paid for that one (part only £35) and they replaced them.

Did have a discussion with some manager guy who said they would charge labour for replacing the aftermarket one but quickly sorted that nonsense out.

It was Skoda in Dundee, one had failed and they replaced them for me whilst I waited. (no booking in)

Mechanic dude complimented my cars condition too ;)
