Pics of plastidip grill on black magic vrs please

Featured Replies

Has anyone got a pic of a plastidip grill surround on a black fabia please. Don't know if I can be bothered to spend all that time colour coding it but if the matt black looks rubbish I will do

Doesn't look that bad actually think I will be going down the plastidip route for quickness

It's hardly much work to spray it though is it? I mean, fair enough if you like it plastidip'd but if you rather it colour coded for the sake of a extra 20 min rubbing it down & a extra coat of primer it'd be worth it. Even more so if it peels like the other bloke on here, then you'd be spraying it twice anyway! Just a though

Mines been fine for nearly 10 months. No pealing. But Tbh, if I had the choice, I'd colour match it personally (didn't really think of it before I plastidipped it though). Each to their own though. There's not much in it.

I do love them colour coded but just thought it would be easier to clean the grill and plastidip it than sand it down, plastic primer it then spray it then lacquer it with only having night time to do it and get it back on

Go for plastidip then mate. Piece of p to do in comparison. Just make sure you shake the **** out of the can, and warm it up before spraying too

I think I will probably colour code it, I'm sure I will get it all done in a night I was just thinking it would be easier to plastidip it. Can I use normal primer on it when sanded or does it have to be plastic primer? Got a full can of primer that's all

Ignore the scrabble :)

Plastidip sprayed straight onto the chrome

Why does it have to be done all in one night? I done mine a little at a time over a week, car still works without it!

That's what I did once you've removed the chrome bit put it all back together and just clip it back once finished
