All Blackline owners. I purchased this car late October 2012 and the Sat nav software was already 12 months out of date since then like lots of other owners I have been trying to locate a update and I have been patiently waiting for Skoda. Contacted them today they pointed out that a update has been available since April 2012. A disk apparently part number 3T0051255D.and a even newer update will be available some time in March2014. Great news, we'll no it's not. I contacted Simpsons parts and quoted the part number.It did exist but as I thought its for a SD card. No they did not have one and get this neither did any other Skoda dealer although some we're showing the card in stock did not actually have them.There was only Skoda UK showing one in stock price wait for it £210 including vat. So if you want a download from a dealer forget it. As far as I know at the present time all my local dealers have no plans to purchase this update. The plan is to wait until March 2014 and hope a dealer buys one a update from Skoda. I am not hopeful. This is very poor after sales care from Skoda. If I was thinking of a sat nav as a extra in a new Skoda don't bother get a tom tom or Garmin with life map updates.

Didn't the black line cone with something like 3 free updates?

Not that I know of,Skoda uk inform me I can have a update from April 2013 for£210 including vat no thanks I will use my Garmin.I can buy a new sat nav every year for half of that. They really are taking the wee wee.

I did a quick search and you can get this update from a Dutch website for about 200 euros. Not a vast difference i know but every little helps. Not sure on delivery though.

 

Does anyone know if this update can be loaded onto more than one unit or is it a single use update ??

I'm sure that the Blacklines were delivered with two different map versions (some V3 & some V4). Mine has V3 so I'll be having a word with my dealer when it goes in for it's first service in a couple of weeks.

There has just been a November 2013 update to download on Skoda site. I done that but hey, can't install it . Was told today from a dealer that I need a £210 ish pound sd card. What a con, u can buy an sd card for a few quid but it won't work unless anyone can tell me how to do it.

Is this only for the newer aumnsden?

Apparently the SD card is formatted in a particular way that can only be read by the O/S in the headunit. It's not a format recognised by Windows or Mac or Android etcetc. Once the update is complete the card is rendered useless, so you can't even format it and put your Pink Floyd collection on it :(
