Updating PID

Featured Replies

Hi all, apologies as I know this will of been covered in other post but I can't seem to find it at the moment.

My wife finally got her PID unit for her Citigo sport yesterday, 3 weeks after getting the car and she wants me to update it.

I remember people saying that it was best to use Garmin software over the Navigon one and that there were problems updating with Macs?

She has the Navigon unit and I will be updating it on a iMac. Does anyone have any experience with the above and know the easiest way around it?

Thanks all in advance

Mike

You need to Download  Navigon Fresh, then use that program to update the unit

I too use a Mac so no problems

Just done mine on my imac for the first time, last week

Unfortunately I was too late for the free maps

Anyway...

You need to go on to the garmin website and download the mac software from there first

Think its called Fresh

Once downloaded onto mac, open it and plug your pid in

Simples ;)

one question

if your car is only 3 weeks old and had to wait for PID why have you got the older navigon unit and not the current garmin unit?

No idea but that's what came from Skoda and I know it's just come from Skoda because I had to complain to SUK to get it. It can't be that old of a unit though can it, as it said everything was up to date when I plugged it in?
