Can this be repaired?

I'd say yes, providing the screw hasn't damaged the side wall on the inside

Just take along to tyre repairers, they'll tell you on the spot if they can repair, and how much repair will be.

I'd say yes, too.  My local tyre place repaired a similar puncture I had in my old Schitroen.

Looks like it can be but I'm not an expert. Had a similar one repaired a year or so back.

yes that will repair.. what they do is take the tyre off the wheel, and cement in a rubber plug which pulls through from the inside, it's only when they are too close to the edge of the tread when they cant be repaired..

certain types of repair plugs can be inserted without even removing the wheel from the car, you just do them in situ, ive done it a few times at the road side when ive been desperate

All repaired! £15 is certainly a lot cheaper than the cost of a new 245/35/18 runflat!

Cheers all!

not recommended but this might get you home one day.. ive done it a few times, i remember driving over a bag of roofing nails in the middle of the road which took out 3 tyres and it was a sunday evening too so even quickfit werent open

I've that sort of thing used on a JCB. Obviously you can't just pop the rear wheel and tyre off a 3CX, especially the middle of a muddy field.
