Skoda Octavia 2 vrs a/c pipe fixe

Featured Replies

Hello guys, today i've managed to make some time and fix my a/c pipe.I discovered the problem a month ago when i was checking my a/c system for the winter. One of the pipes that was feeding a/c agent to the compressor had a small leak made by a hose clip that goes to the DPF.Since my car had the DPF removed by the previous owner, probably at the assembly of the hoses someone forgot to clear the way for the a/c pipe. The hole jobe took me about 2 and a half ours, i didn't replace the pipe, i've welded the small hole and works like a charm:)A new pipe will cost around 150 euros without labour.

For starters you have to remove the fuel filter and the water expansion tank of the engines cooling system. After that some screws and wires and you are almost there. Is hard to deconnect the pipes since you are working in a small space and you need little hands and fingers so it's wise to have some help near you:)

These are some pictures of the job:)

Also i have another problem, hope someone could help me, please, on one of the pictures, marked with red, i found a hose plugged with a screw. From what i saw the hose has a connection with the DPF.Please note that the DPF was removed by the previous owner. Now i don't know what to do, unplugge the hose or leave it there...The car runs fine with the hose plugged but no one couldn't give me a reason why the hose is like that.
