I took my vrs to the local kwikfit.

Its one of the new all singing and dancing centres.

They have a brand new Hunter machine.

Everything is brand new there.

They managed to complete the front no problem.

It was out a fair bit and was causing excessive wear on the inside of the tyre.

The rear was also suffering excessive wear on the inside.

They were unable to fix the rear.

They stated that the bolt that allows the adjustments too be made was seized.

They spent over 30 mins trying to move it

They stated that if they did get it out it would require new bushes.

Would this be expensive.

How much would new bushes be?

Sorry its a bit waffly

Thanks

Dave

Wonder if the were trying to move the bolt and not the nut. seen loads of tyre places do it. The bolt won't turn as the eccentric washer is part of it, you need to unto the nut first then it will spin giving the required adjustment.

Knowing Kwik-Break, they were probably using WD40 or Duck Oil instead of a proper dismantling lubricant too.
