Skoda Fabia III? Where to start?

Featured Replies

Hello everyone - I'm prepared to put my head in the stocks and get rotten vegetables thrown at me, as I have an Octavia, but the thing is I'm not really sure where to put this topic - the new Fabia.

As you know, there will be no more VRs. So I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas or 'intel' on what the range-topper could be next year. I like, rather, love my Octavia but if the new Fabia looks good and has the 2.0 150bhp diesel engine, I'd be converted like a shot.

I wonder if this engine could fit in the new Fabia?

Thoughts please.

Best regards,

Steve

I doubt Skoda really know other than they will be Euro 6 Emission engines.

So your guess will be as good as any ones.

I would imagine the engine choice will be much like that of a Rapid and maybe some smaller 3 cylinder ones.

The 2.0TDi 150ps in a Seat Leon starts at around £20,000

Have a Look at the Seat Ibiza: Newer platform and 2.0TDi from about £15k list

The 2.0TDi would fit in the new Fabia because it should have the front end of the present Polo/Ibiza. Sadly, there is still no news of Skoda fitting any other engines to the new Rapid Spaceback either. As above, SEAT may be an option but the Ibiza doesn't have the new generation 150ps engine; you need the Leon for that (MQB cars).
