hi does relay 109 supply power in anyway to power steering rack ?? (anyone know)

No and a Mk2 doesn't have a relay 109 (although it does have an ECU power relay). What is the problem?

hi rwbaldwin i had a problem with my power steering i would be hearing clicking under the bonnet and as it was clicking my steering light would be flashing on and off i could drive it allday but if i stopped it and restarted the car ide get the same response as above so i got a secound hand rack fitted it all was fine for about 5 miles till i stopped the car and restarted it now ive got the same problem as i did with the original rack i replaced light is red and on permanantley no power steering ! i took it to the garage had it scanned but they could not access the rack ecu is there a relay that powers the rack ecu cheers please help fed up

What is the year/engine code/trim level?

The engine code is 3 or 4 characters and can be found on the options label.

I've got an intermittent immobiliser fault. Guy said to check the ECU relay. Do you know the relay number or correct name or part number. Mk2 VRS Octavia TDI
