Hi, the parcel shelf on my 2012 combined has stopped recoilling. dropping it off at the dealer tomorrow expecting to probably just get a new one since it looks like a sealed unit but just wandered if anyone else has ever had the same issue.

Completely stopped or just a takes a big of jiggling?  Mine tended to stick so I used AutoGlym trim cleaner and liberally doused the runners. Now it slides back without getting stuck due to friction.

Exactly the same for me.

 

What happened? Fixed or replaced?

If in doubt give Skodaparts a call. They are a Skoda dealer and will be able to get you the exact part you need if different from that listed. All they need is the Reg No. or VIN. I have only bought a couple of things from them but did receive a call to confirm that what I had asked for was the right item for my car.

I'll give them a ring then.

They can be opened up but it is an extremely fiddly job.

 

I'd imagine dealers just replace the whole lot.
