Blackline Bluetooth Issues

Featured Replies

This is my first post so ...... Hi everyone

Just picked up my Octavia Blackline Est in white with DSG and now its time to ask a question.

I have been researching these cars for a couple of months and know of the issues and fixes regarding the enabling of the bluetooth on the Amundsen + fitted in the car.

But although i have bookmarked the how to pages from a chap on the forums here , i no longer can find the map / list regarding people with the VCDS that are willing for some

beer money to activate it.

Is there anyone in suffolk or nearby that could assist me with the activating of the bluetooth or any help with locating that list.

Indeed Brooksuk  :sun:

Only got it today and been out for a 10 minute wang with the wifey , she hadn't even seen it before me buying it .

Let alone never driven an auto DSG or not ..... went well.

The smile on my face as yet to dissolve.

Hope it never goes away , cracking motor.

Missed out on the original sale of these last year , but finally after nagging every Skoda dealer within 100 miles , for a specific white estate with Dsg , one popped up.

And big thanks Eddie-NL , i have contacted a chap from the forum who lives in Sudbury , nearer to me .

If i get no joy i will be in touch ,so thank you.

Identical to mine, cracking car. Had the bluetooth done on mine too, well worth it for the audio streaming alone.

Quick observation, no Blackline came with sunset glass so whoever had it before has had that done 3rd party.

Gave me the heeby jeebies there pipyp .

Had to check the log book for confirmation it says Blackline

Wife is out and about in it at the moment , but i didnt give the rear windows a second thought.

When shes back will check closer and hopefully there dark glass and not cheap arse tinting.

Possible optional extra ?

Just to confirm Blacklines were all factory built to a set spec, some with a spare wheel and some without but nothing you could choose from the options list.

Sunset glass was therefore not an option on these cars so it'll almost certainly have non OEM tints, to be fair a number of people werent chuffed that they did not come with Sunset so had theirs tinted.

Bluetooth now sorted along with installation of correct mic .

Very big thank you to Eddie NL off of the forums here .

Been to visit him up by the seaside tonight and what a top fella he is .

Sorted all my bits out along with some bonus coding , for a small handful of English pounds .

Very considerate in pulling the front interior apart and what a happy boy I am with the results .

Once again thanks very much Eddie NL

Just to add .....

You were correct Eddie NL

All the phone info now appears on maxidot after switching on this morning .

Pipsysp - what's wrong with aftermarket tints? Done properly you'd have a job telling them apart.

nought if theyve been done well; was just making a point to the OP that his Blackline doesnt have sunset glass as none of them came with that.

Also on close inspection you can tell, even the best 3rd party tints are still film, glass from factory is smoked. Tinting film doesnt take that well to heater elements as they are often teflon coated (in the rear glass) so thats usually a sign.

Following the guide it's very easy, I waited a year before fitting mine cos I was scared! But all went very well, just follow the guide and take your time. Cheap eBay trim removal kit helps with getting the facia off the radio and your away.

Do it yourself it's so simple.

Fantastic car, Mic bought from Ed and fitted myself. It is so easy and works a treat. Well worth doing
