F****** Garages

Featured Replies

I had my new wheels and lowering springs fitted yesturday and I have just found that the garage has splitt my CV joint I am tamping.

I am going to call them on Monday and make them fix this.

Any ideas how long it takes, and any complications.

Thanks

Antony

CV joint? What's that?

Its a *** to do! they will have to take the driveshaft off to remove the cvjoint to get a new boot put on it.

@mil the flexable knuckle joint on your driveshaft

@garages to$$ers

Looks like a special tools for the hub nut too.

Make sure they don't try to fob you off with a wrap around one.

The hub nut is a 36mm twelve sided socket. The nut is also one time use only and should be done upto 50nm + 90 degrees.

:thumbup: Time for me to order another couple of bits. :o

edit: Just checking it is this part isn't it? No unique hub nuts or anything I need to worry about?! :rofl:;)
